Gawain Project banner

Morgana appears at Dunpendyrlaw in a slightly battered state. To his mother's surprise, Gawain manages to concoct a magical poultice that cures Morgana's injuries in a heartbeat. At that, Morgana unleashes her unwholesome powers on her little nephew... Morgause is aghast.

Gawain with Níassa

A5-sized drawing in a Moleskine sketchbook, using colour pencils from a variety of brands (and some of which I have owned for most of my life).

Every time I work with colour pencils, I find I enjoy the medium very, very much. But it takes such an inordinate amount of time to get a good result with it! I spent most of one weekend working on this and continued working on it for almost every day of last week. There is no end of layers in this small drawing. At least I am really glad with how it came out... :-)

Níassa, it will be clear, is not a girl. It is Gawain's Pictish-forged sword.

Gawain Project: Brothers & Sisters, p. 101

Morgana appears at Dunpendyrlaw in a slightly battered state. Gawain is very eager to show that he can prepare a poultice to heal her injuries. Morgause is dismissive, but Morgana prevails. And lo! Gawain actually produces something that works! Then, something happens in this comic, which is rare enough, so enjoy the moment ;).

Gawain Project: Brothers & Sisters, p. 100

Gawain Project banner

We have arrived at page 100 of Brothers & Sisters! If you add that number to the 130 pages of The Darkest Hour, we are well on our way to filling a slim manga volume ;-). That probably means the entire saga may be told in, I don't know, fifteen volumes? *grins wickedly*

On this special occasion, have a photo of present-day Dunpendyrlaw as taken by yours truly on Saturday last.

Now, on with the story...

Morgana appears at Dunpendyrlaw in a slightly battered state. Gawain cannot wait to prove that he can prepare a poultice to heal her injuries. Morgause is dismissive, but Morgana prevails. And look what happens!
