Ale & Wenches

Especially for Wim: the same page lettered with Ale & Wenches. Please do let me know how it reads. I like this font a lot, but personally I feel that Red State, Blue State is easier to read. Would definitely use Ale & Wenches for captions, though - the medieval feel is just great.

PS: try the full view to see the page at the size it will be posted in :).

It is hard to read a whole comic lettered this way, in my opinion. Good for captions, I agree, but the main text must be easy to read.

Cecilia is right... it would be too difficult. Although it brings more mystery & atmosphere...

Can you afterwards modify the font setting & have all pages updated, or is it a "decide now & stick to it" type decision?

@ Wim: Nope, there is no "one button change all fonts" option, I fear. It's not so difficult to change the font, as I did here, but it has to be done page by page and even bubble by bubble. Each bit of text has its own layer in Photoshop - that happens automatically.

It seems like the mystery and atmosphere will have to come from the text and images, then ;)...

@ Cecilia: I agree. Much though I like this font, I think it is just a little bit too much. But yes: captions. Squee! ;)

You can put all the font levels into one "group" and modify from it, I think. To create a group click on the little folder icon, in the layers window in Photoshop. I'm not sure you can modify fonts from a group, but surely you can move it all together.

Group? O_O

Gah! One of the gazillion features fo Photoshop I know absolutely nothing about! Must check out.

Thanks for the suggestion!
